Colorful Canine Adopts [REDUCED] by Kuejena Colorful Canine Adopts [REDUCED] by Kuejena
I'm trying to work on my coloring, so I made some simple canine adopts. :y They're so pretty!

For these adoptables, even if you don't buy them, just list which one is your favorite and why if you want. Or you maybe you just like the variety??? Just whatever you like or (more importantly) don't like. I'm trying to improve my adoptables, so any criticism, feedback, or opinion could be helpful~

The adoptables are 10Points each. I'm just trying to get feedback more than profit here, so I'm not charging much this time around.

If you wouldn't mind me making a few changes to #2 I would like that one as well.

Continuing feed back after look and thinks ng more. The ones that would be harder to draw or less likely to adopt is because they are too busy. Take #3 for example your base coloring alone makes in a unique and beautiful adopt, but the you go and add all the blue spots distracting from the sunset hues below. Same goes for #1. Love the base and the green white mix on the legs and face but the ' shapes on the body seem out of place. I understand where you were trying to go with #7. Cool idea but the chain marks seem flat compared to the rest.

I am so sorry for the late reply! There was a thunderstorm yesterday and it struck the box thing outside my house so internet was down, I apologize!

Anyway, the three you paid for are now yours. Have fun!

Do you want to see them if I redraw them?

Can I get #6 and #8!!

Feedback: I love your choise of colors. But when I go on adopting sprees I look for redraw ability and half of these would be too difficult for me for me to casually draw.

~wiggles in to give you critique like you asked~
All opinions and honestly sometimes designs I don't care for/understand usually sell the first so just take what you want from this! ^^

1. I really love the colors on this one, and even though the markings are a bit light, I think it works for them! The paws are a cute touch too, I like the little white strip that separates the two colors. The only thing that really "bothers" me about this adopt, is that I would want the markings grouped together a bit more. It'd probably be easier if some of the swirls were smaller, but that's not necessary to the design (and some people may want them all the same). It just feels a bit too scattered and random, and may look more "natural" if they focused on the back and shoulders, then down the leg, rather than how it's just spread all over its pelt.  It's a little weird to me for the type of marking, and I wouldn't know how to replicate it (and get frustrated when people who draw it would do the markings wrong).
But, it's still such a pleasing palette, and the blue and white tips just in the right places! ^^ I already have an idea for this pup, and if he doesn't sell, I may buy~

2. Very interesting and regal! I'm trying to understand if those are chains, or markings, though. They follow the form of the body pretty well, however, if they were actual apparel pieces, I would color some of the lineart where they end to make it seem as though they wrap around the figure. One hanging off its neck would have been cool but I'm very intrigued by the two coming off the side!!! And how the angled pattern continues on the back leg, so it's not such a static symmetrical design. The colors are a little hard to see as they interact with each other (the green), but I think a single coat pattern is best for the design, I think it's just a matter of choosing an appealing green that doesn't hide some of the markings still :'D I think you got as close to perfect as possible though, at least as I would have been able to do ;v; very nice!

3. Ahh this one is so cute! >w< I could also see it being a somber character too, but hey~ I think that's a pretty popular palette, and I like that it's all kind of pastelly. I typically see it being more vibrant, but since it's all kind of muted, I think it works! Maybe next time when you do this, try adding one vibrant color? Maybe a vibrant pink or blue, and add some extra kind of marking or swirl that comes unexpected to make that character immediately distinguishable! The soft colors make it look pretty fluffy though ^^ cute work!

4. Design wise, this one speaks to me as the strongest!  But then again, I've always loved kind of blocky (almost marbled?? I don't know what I'm saying lol) markings.  The colors don't 100% do it for me though. I can look at them and like them, but I don't know if it's the darker maize (never did like that on FR personally...), or the gray that's throwing me off. I like the gray though, as it's more unique than the white I'm used to seeing on lots of adopts! Really I think it boils down to personal preference here in colors, but I don't think you'll have a problem giving that one a home ^^ Like I said, I really like the design and patterning on this one, perhaps the best out of the sheet! I like that there are only little toes, not full socks, on the back legs. That's pretty interesting : O

Next Row - I realize I'm writing novels so Imma try to shorten it ;; sorry!
5. Interesting colors! I could see this adopt being a cave dweller, or even some kind of underwater hybrid? Either way, super interesting palette!  The only thing I'd really like to see is more attention to the dots, they have an almost glowlike quality, but they fall a little flat! I actually like that they don't explicitly have a glow around them (though you may choose to change that next time), but rather, I would Lock the markings on a new layer, and grab either a lighter blue, or for this case, maybe a more saturated blue, grab a large airbrush, and then kind of airbrush either the tips or center of the dot areas, to give it a kind of gradient look.  I hope that made sense, that way it gives it a glow that seems to kind of wrap around the body!

6. IMO this is one of the more "popular" or sought after kinds of adoptables, because of the dark coloring. I like the purple airbrushed onto some of the thicker patches of fur, that's the perfect "third thing" to give it a nice balance! c: The only thing I see is that some of the design got a little sloppy (underbelly goes onto the forearm and is missing on the chest, and looks like a remnant of a watermark is covering his face and lineart there). However, it's still a pretty pleasing design and I'd hope they went to a good home to get drawn a lot~!

7. Green and chains again! xD Here, I like the monochromatic multicolored pelt, but it really clashes with the chains here and eats them up, especially towards the legs. Then my eyes kind of strain to see the marking, so I think it'd be best if the marking faded to light green, or was just overall a darker gray. That being said, is it a marking, or a literal chain? There's no airbrushing parts of it like on the #2, so I'm led to believe it's a marking.  It's pretty interesting! I think it could hug the form (curve a bit) more, and possibly this adopt needs one more element to it? Nonetheless, it's a very interesting concept and it still has a special place in this adopt sheet :3

8.  First off, GREAT choice of using stripes here! I think it REALLY goes well with the long ears because it keeps the theme of longness ^^  Okok, for the rest of the design, I think you did a good job with the colors!  I like that the paws aren't beige, but instead a nice gradient pink/purple c: Its back seems a bit lonely, but I think the simplicity of his design works really well for them, so they're not overcrowded! c:  This adopt looks like it'd be really fun to draw!

Ok there's my comments on it! ;o; sorryfor the novel and I hope it doesn't feel like an attack or anything! These designs are great and I only talked so much about them because they were pleasing to look at and I liked talking about them ;o;

I can't wait to see what you do for your next batch <3

Nah man this is BEAUTIFUL! This is more than what I was expecting, but I'm so happy! I love reading novels >:U

Yeah the first one, I agree, it could look a bit more natural. I'll work on that next time. Next sheet I'll have actual edits to the lineart so we'll see. Also I'm going to be doing a sheet of furry adopts before that one :icongamseesplz:

and the jade one, it's supposed to be like, engraved on the surface? But yeah I see what you mean. Some extra lineart only helped adoptables so yeah, you have a good point~

I added numbers and touched up 6 because you were right, he did look messy. As for the other tips, I'll try them out on the next sheet and see how that goes.

I wish I could give you a more detail response, but THANK YOU for all the advice. I did read it all carefully, rest assured, and will take it to heart. I'm glad you like the pattern on 4 (so do I), and I'm hoping to be able to continue doing stuff like that.

I'm glad it helped you!!! ;v; <3333 Just got enough points for a Murr on chocodopts, so I'll be chugging through dAhub to get a little pocketful of adopts from here now <3

No worries, I threw a lot at you and I'm really happy to hear that you appreciated it <3 You could have read and taken from it as much as you wanted, it's all just opinions ;v;

Any time <3 and I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
